​Meeting up - groups and clubs

Our modern Community Hall is a popular meeting place for a variety of organised or self-help groups and our church is a popular place for music rehearsals.
 
RELAX, STAY AND PLAY ...  This group, organised by the church,  meets every Wednesday morning during term time from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and is especially for pre-school children and their parents/carers. The cost is £2.00 per child (maximum £3.50 per family). For health and safety reasons, the number of children must not exceed twenty-five. The entry fee includes tea, coffee and biscuits for adults and drinks and healthy snacks for children. Each gathering ends with song-time.

DROP-IN @ ST SILAS ...On Thursdays, from 7.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. homeless & vulnerable people are welcome to drop in to our Community Hall for a meal. Tea & coffee also available.
 
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS ... Meetings are open to anyone with a drink problem. Just turn up.  
Tuesdays       7.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Fridays           6.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. (Women only) THIS GROUP HAS CLOSED
Saturdays      10.30 a.m. - 11.30 a.m.

AL-ANON FAMILY GROUP meets on Tuesdays from 12 Noon to 1.30 p.m. The group is for family members and others affected by someone else's drinking. No need to book. Just turn up. https://www.al-anonuk.org.uk/

ANGEL ORCHESTRA ...  The Angel Orchestra has had its base at St Silas for many years. They rehearse in church on Wednesdays at 7.30 p.m. (during term time) and hold their concerts in the church. Details at :  www. the-angel-orchestra.co.uk. 
 
ANNA SCHER THEATRE...  We are delighted to host Anna Scher's Theatre Classes.
Tuesdays           4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.     Juniors (ages 6 to 10)
Wednesdays    4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.     Secondary (ages 11 to 16) 
Fridays               7.45 p.m. to 9.45 p.m.      Adults (16+ no upper age limit)

OVEREATERS ANONYMOUS ... This  is a self help group meeting weekly on Mondays : 7.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

A number of other orchestras rehearse at St Silas occasionally. These include Philharmonia Britannica, Linden Baroque, Bloomsbury Chamber Orchestra and the City of London Symphonic Winds (who often have their concert at St Silas).
